Growing Up

Home today with a sick toddler. Throwing up sick. No fun for either of us. I can handle scrapped knees and bloddy noses and nasty diapers. But throwing up is not something I handle well, at all! Yet here I am today with 2 episodes under my belt.

Okay, on to more pleasant things.......

At the doctor this morning, Grace weighted 32 pounds and 40 inches tall!! On the way home, I realized that Hubby's carseat lists 38 inches tall as the max height. So now we need to buy ANOTHER seat for Hubby's car; now we need a booster seat because of her height. It makes me incredibly nervous though. Booster seats use the car's seat belt and it makes me terrified.....the 5 point harness just makes me feel better than the lap and shoulder belt of a car.

Anyone have a great booster recommendation? Any advice?

According to Consumer Reports, the Graco TurboBooster SafeSeat is the highest-rated, with a score of 82 (VG for crash protection, EX for car fit and ease of use). They go from $50 - $100, depending on style @ Wal-Mart, Target, and Baby Depot. They also have the highest-rated backless seats. Lots of colors to choose from.

Of course, you can go all out for Hubby and get him this: http://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/products/product_detail.aspx?cat_id=342&prod_id=6357

Not that I'm endorsing a product or anything... ;-)

we have the graco highback. we bought it for our oldest 2 years ago and now our youngest sits in it from time to time. she meets the qualifications for it as far as weight and height go. we been pleased with it. it's a comfortable but more importantly secure booster.
