3 Misfortunes of the Snow

We woke up this morning to a blanket of white snow covering everything. There was at least 10 inches on the ground when we woke up and it was still snowing. It was so beautiful and peaceful. But the peaceful ended for me when Bill and I realized that there was no power at the house! Everything in the house runs on electricity so nothing worked! So we cooked breakfast on the grill and made plans to go to my parents if we were going to be in the dark come nightfall. When we looked out the back door, we found the second misfortune of the snow----the umbrella on our patio table tipped over under the weight of the snow and shattered the glass table top. Bye bye table! After Bill finished shoveling the driveway, we heard a LOUD crash; the sound came from the 30 foot tree limb breaking away from its tree and landing in the pool! So, no power, no patio table, and a tree in the pool-----what an exciting morning!

Oh my! That doesn't sound like a fun morning at all! I would have just climbed right back into bed ;)

At least Gracie got her snowstorm though!

Tree limb has been removed from the pool with a little help from an extended saw and muscles from Bill and Chris! Table is a different story---glass is still hidden under all the snow!
